In the end, though, Sauk Prairie’s boys golf team fell short.
The Eagles hosted a WIAA Division 1 regional on May 27 and missed qualifying for sectionals. The top four teams at regionals moved to sectionals, and Sauk Prairie finished in sixth place.
The Beaver baseball team celebrated a third consecutive outright conference championship on May 23 in McFarland after the title clinching win over the Spartans, but the Beavers still had 2 regular season games to play last week before they begin what they hope will be a successful and lengthy WIAA Tournament run.

Sophomore Jack Meyer will be a participant in the WIAA State Boys Tennis Tournament at UW-Madison this weekend for the Reedsburg Beavers after placing fourth at flight one singles at the WIAA D-1 Madison Memorial Sectional last week.
Reedsburg achieved its highest win total on the softball diamond in 30 years or more this spring, but the Beavers were unable to add to that win total last week as Reedsburg lost a tight one at Portage, 3-1, in their first WIAA Tournament game of the post-season in D-2.
Reedsburg has reached its highest win total in several seasons this year in girls soccer action and it’s also the highest total in Coach Erica Gronley’s tenure at RAHS as Reedsburg wrapped up the regular season slate last Tuesday with a solid performance in a 4-0 win over Columbus in a match played at RAHS.
