Coach Chris Hahn and Reedsburg Beaver Baseball has been knocking on the doorstep of a WIAA State Tournament berth for the past few years with a talented group of players but had always come up short.

Long time Home Talent Baseball rivals, Reedsburg and Cazenovia, squared off twice in less than 24 hours this past weekend with each team hosting one of the contests. Caz hosted a Night League game Friday night that went extra innings with Reedsburg home for a special Sunday League game on Saturday night.

The top softball players in the Ridge and Valley Conference were recognized with the release of the All-Conference voting earlier this week.

Coach Jane Briehl has announced team awards for River Valley Blackhawks softball 2025. R-V was 7-16 overall for the season with a league record in the SWC.

When a team wins a conference title outright, you would expect that team to have the most All-Conference players during the season. That’s how it played out for the Reedsburg Beaver Baseball team this year after winning third consecutive outright championship.

Award winners have been announced for the Weston Silver Eagles softball team for this just completed spring season.

The thrill of the WIAA state never gets old, though.

River Valley’s high school golfers played the course at the Dodge-Point Country Club last Tuesday in a WIAA D-2 Sectional. The Blackhawks had their full team in action after placing fourth last week in WIAA Regional play, but the team was unable to advance this past week, placing 10^th among the 12 teams.

RAHS sophomore Jack Meyer made some real memories by winning a match last week at the WIAA State Boys Tennis Tournament, a fest that hasn’t been done by a Reedsburg player in a very long time.

Reedsburg notched a much-needed victory on the baseball diamond Sunday on the road in the Home Talent League, dominating Cross Plains 13-1 with Reedsburg now 3-1 in the Sunday League season.
