Sauk Prairie soccer topples Baraboo, DeForest

Sauk Prairie’s girls soccer team won a pair of games last week.

The Eagles defeated Baraboo, 4-0, on May 6. And Sauk Prairie toppled DeForest, 3-1, on May 9.

The Eagles are now 6-3-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the Badger Small Conference.

SP softball remains winless after La Crosse matchup

Almost.

Sauk Prairie’s girls softball team came close to winning its first game of the season last Saturday.

But the Eagles fell to La Crosse Central, 7-6, and dropped a 22-17 decision to La Crosse Logan in a game that went to extra innings.

Sauk Prairie is now 0-17 overall and 0-10 in the Badger Small Conference.

The Eagles boys and girls both finished first at the eight-team Heather Johnson Invitational hosted by Wisconsin Dells last Friday.

Twins hope to recapture success of 2024 season

The 2024 season was a magical one for Sauk Prairie’s Home Talent League team.

The Twins went 27-7. They reached the HTL Final Four. And in the championship game against Verona, Sauk Prairie fell just short, dropping a heartbreaking 5-2 decision to perennial power Verona.

Reedsburg, Cazenovia ready for 2025 Home Talent Baseball this weekend

The Sunday League season for Home Talent Baseball kicks off this weekend with the Reedsburg Pirates hosting Waunakee Sunday at 1 p.m. at Nishan Park in one of the matchups in the Northern Section.

The Pirates won 22 of 30 games overall last season and were a playoff qualifier in both the Sunday League and Night League.

Week of ups and downs for Sauk Prairie golf

One stellar round.

Sauk Prairie’s golf team shined and finished third at the 21-team Nekoosa Invite on May 7. The Eagles then finished seventh at the final Badger Small Conference mini-meet of the year on May 9.
