The time has fallen back and so, in many cases, have we. Flu season is ramping up and if that doesn’t make you fall back, you’re lucky. The older I get, the harder flu is to get over.

All too often, secrecy and confidentiality carry the day in proceedings of state and local government.

I am playing Jane Goodall with a beautiful trio of wild kittens. I sit at one end of the deck, partially concealed by a tree trunk, and I put out food at the other end of the deck. Then I sit motionless, channeling Jane. The first to come is the little orange fellow. All three of them, and their mother, have the most unusual markings.

If you’re a typical adult, you have bills to pay, and there is always a due date.

Most of us have a system to ensure this stuff gets paid: We set up automatic withdrawal from our accounts, pay online, pay over the phone, or even still drop off or mail in a check. There are also people who come in and pay with cash.

Will this nightmare of having a president who cares only about himself, his revenge, his money, instead of our country..will this ever end? 

On October 18, Indivisible Sauk Prairie hosted one of more than 2,700 No Kings! Rallies across the country. Seven to eight million Americans came out in large cities and tiny towns across the nation to gather and proclaim, “NO KINGS in America!”.

Dave Gorak’s letter “Taking a Closer Look at Facts” is well written.

I agree with Dave that an unsustainable population is a huge problem which people and their elected officials continue to ignore.

There’s a lot going on and a lot to think about.

They often embarrassed their mother by the way they acted in public. It seemed to her that her sons were always arguing. At the supermarket, the brothers would fight about which cereal she should buy. When they were home they could never agree which movie to watch.
