Letter: No excuse for government shutdown

Government should never shut down unless tax payers shut down the supply of money government takes.

I don’t care if you are a Republican, Democrat or other, that bottom line never changes.

The blame game is ridiculous. Anyone who plays that game needs to be voted out.

It was a bittersweet reunion with my dear old social work friends last weekend. The seven of us have been getting together at least twice a year for 55 years, since we met at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. We have really shared our lives together, so I got to live six other lives along with my own.

Letter: Great day for No Kings

October 18th’s No King’s rally in Dodgeville was a great event! It was sunny and perfect weather. 800+ people of all ages and towns around the region attended. It was so well organized in coordination with our county sheriff and supported by over 10 designated volunteer trained peacekeepers and additional policemen.
