County Board Chairman Tim McCumber called the Sauk County Healthcare Center “(expletive).”

The Sauk County Health Care Center is worth saving! The building will be paid off in October 2027.

A lot of people are fed up with vitriol in politics. Not too long ago, our region got a taste of it, and we’re still grimacing from it.

Videos from the specially scheduled June 26 Sauk County Board meeting showed some truly despicable behavior. No matter where we stand politically, we should all agree to civility.

The grass is green, the weather is hot and people are ready to unload all stuff they spent years collecting.

I love fireworks. It’s not Independence Day without them.

In our area, we’re very lucky to have an assortment of activities and fireworks displays. Reedsburg and La Valle are just a couple of local examples of places to see free fireworks…and grab some food while you’re at it.

This coming Friday is the 4th of July. Many of us will have the day off – maybe even a three-day weekend - and goodness knows we need it. More three-day weekends would make our lives more joyful because it would give us more goof off time.
