After several weeks of down time, it’s going to be a jam-packed schedule over the next few weeks for the Weston boys basketball team.

It wound up being an idle week for the Beaver gymnasts in terms of competition as a scheduled Thursday home dual vs. Watertown was cancelled due to inclement weather.

The recent struggles for the RWD boys high school hockey co-op at Sauk-Prairie’s rink continued last week as the Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells/Mauston co-op team was flat in a 7-1 Sauk victory as the home team remained unbeaten for the season.

Chalk up two more dual meet wins for the Ithaca/Weston high school wrestling co-op after a trip last Thursday to Hillsboro where I/W knocked off Royall and Hillsboro, both in convincing fashion.

An eight-game losing skid came to an end for the Beaver boys basketball team last Tuesday as Reedsburg picked up its first win of the home season, knocking off River Valley, 54-48, at RAHS.

The Badger Lightning co-op high school girls hockey team was slated to return to action on Tuesday of this week at home against the Warbirds co-op team with a date Saturday at Brookfield with both games recent additions to the schedule.

The WIAA announced last week a re-structuring of the WIAA Tournament series for girls and boys basketball after many schools statewide opted out of the post-season.
