That’s more like it. Wisconsin Heights’ girls basketball game entered its game with Johnson Creek last Thursday on a two-game losing streak. But the Vanguards put an end to that with a 67-24 destruction of visiting Johnson Creek.

They battled. They fought. In the end, though, the hole was simple too big to escape. Wisconsin Heights’ girls basketball team dug itself a 15-point halftime deficit on Nov. 26, rallied back, but eventually fell to host Lakeside Lutheran, 47-41.

Five Heights spikers named all-league

Wisconsin Heights’ girls volleyball team enjoyed a terrific year, finishing in second place in the Southern Capitol Conference and reaching a WIAA Division 4 regional final. Not surprisingly, the Vanguards were justly rewarded when it came time for all-conference honors.

Sauk Prairie’s rally comes up short

Sauk Prairie’s boys basketball team displayed a lot of resiliency after falling into a huge hole in its season-opener last Saturday afternoon. But an early 22-point deficit proved to be too much to overcome.
