Sauk Prairie swimmers fall to Edgewood

Sauk Prairie’s girls swimming and diving team fell to Madison Edgewood, 128-42, in a Badger Small Conference dual meet on Sept. 3. The Crusaders won nine of 11 events on their way to the win. Kaylee Oleson led the Eagles with first place finishes in the 100-yared breaststroke and the 100-yard freestyle.

Heights boys XC team 10th at Darlington Invitational

The Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld boys country team finished in 10th place at the 15-team Darlington Invitational last Saturday. The Vanguards’ girls were 14th out of 14 teams. Fennimore won the boys race with 99 points, while Heights/Barneveld finished with 208.

Sauk Prairie’s boys soccer team dropped two of three games last week. Here’s a recap of the Eagles week: Monona Grove 1, Sauk Prairie 0 — The Eagles couldn’t find the back of the net, but head coach Drew Kornish was encouraged with what he saw.

After not being able to take the field for the first two Friday nights of the high school football season in Wisconsin, the Reedsburg Beavers are anxious to play a varsity game for the first time this season Friday night against La Crosse Central at UW-La Crosse in a league game in the Mississippi Valley Conference.

Weston adds new AD, extra sport

The Weston School District Athletic Department has new leadership as the school year begins.

Jason McDonough has taken over and has already been actively involved with the programs, which included a Weston Athletics Launch Party in mid-August.

Beaver volleyball wins all 5 matches to take team title at Wisconsin Rapids

So far, so good, for 2024 Reedsburg Beaver girls volleyball.

Coach Sheila Green’s squad opened the season with five best-of-three matches Saturday at Wisconsin Rapids and the Beavers won them all to win the tournament championship.
