Former Reedsburg coach among those who will be inducted into Baraboo Athletic Hall of Fame

The Baraboo High School Athletic Hall of Fame has named five new members to a burgeoning roster of athletes and coaches who have distinguished themselves, their school and community over the 127-year history of athletics in Baraboo.

Eagles’ swimmers off to solid start

Sauk Prairie’s girls swimming team had a solid start to the new season with a fifth place finish at the Badger Small Conference Relays Aug. 29 at Stoughton High School. Edgewood won the meet with 204 points, while Monroe/New Glarus was second with 142. McFarland (114), Lodi (112) and Sauk Prairie (90) rounded out the top five.

Sauk Prairie’s girls cross country team opened the season in style at the Oregon Grade Level Challenge last Saturday. The Eagles’ girls won both the junior/senior race and the freshman/sophomore race.

Tennis Eagles fall to Stoughton

Sauk Prairie’s girls tennis team fell to Stoughton, 5-2, on Aug. 27. Leisl Judge notched a 6-4, 6-0 win over Stoughton’s Erin Hull at No. 4 singles.
