The final season of Weston Silver Eagles softball, at least for the near future, has come to a close as the Weston girls lost a fairly close, 10-6, decision at La Farge last Thursday in the WIAA D-5 Playoffs.
River Valley has just one conference game left in the Southwest Wisconsin Conference season after the Blackhawks fell at Lancaster, 6-2, on Thursday. The loss snapped a three-game win streak for the Blackhawks.

River Valley saved some of the best golf of the season for last week at the end of season SWC Meet and those efforts were good enough for the Blackhawks to win the team title over the 18 holes at Galena, Illinois last Thursday after the event was postponed from Tuesday.
Track and field athletes from River Valley High School had to wait two days to compete for conference titles last week as the SWC Meet was moved from Tuesday to Thursday. River Valley was unable to claim any championships at Dodgeville, but several entries did perform well.
