River Valley’s boys golfers finished in seventh place at the eight-team, Division 2 Reedsburg Invitational on April 18.
Prescott shot a 323 and edged Reedsburg (324) for the team title. Mount Horeb (326), Cuba City/Benton (328) and Platteville (354) rounded out the top five.

The bad news is there’s lots of work to do.
The good news is there’s still plenty of time.
Reedsburg’s girls softball team lost two of three games last week and fell to fourth place in the Badger Small Conference.
One of the most important early season track and field meets each spring is the Badger Conference Challenge, which took place April 15 in Portage. It’s a chance to see athletes and teams from both the Badger Small and Badger Large.

The streak is over.
Now, Reedsburg’s boys tennis team hopes to start a new one.
The Beavers began the season 5-0, but dropped a 4-3 decision to visiting Baraboo on April 17. Reedsburg then lost a pair of non-conference matches at the DeForest Quadrangular last Saturday.
