Memorial Day weekend is upon us, the unofficial start of summer. It’s been hot, it’s been cold, it’s been Wisconsin spring with a little more roller coaster weather than anyone would like but here we are. Ready to get out and make the most of every moment.
This week, the Reedsburg School District will start saying goodbye to elementaries in Loganville and La Valle. The properties aren’t being sold; they just won’t be used for instruction anymore.
Rest in peace, Loganville School. No more children running in the halls. No more art work on the walls. No more bouncing volleyballs. No more scrapes and no more falls. Quiet, quiet in the halls.
I have always considered it a privilege to have grown up on a dairy farm in central Wisconsin. I have so much respect for my dad and his two brothers’ commitment to operating their business.
