We need rest for our tired bodies to recuperate.

Even on the most regular day, life is draining. The work day is long and the demands are great. By the time you hit the pillow at night you may feel like a smart device that has only two percent battery life left.

It has been over two years since we have all been together. So it was a grand reunion when I spent last weekend with six women who have been dear to my heart since 1969. Or was it 1970? We can never agree. We have loved each other through births and deaths, marriages and divorces, and the loss of parents, spouses and children.

The feathered creatures of this world seem to be experiencing their own pandemic.
