Beaver cross country looks to Reedsburg Invite Saturday at Hartje Center

Reedsburg made the trip south to the Norsk Golf Club near Mount Horeb Saturday for the Mount Horeb Cross Country Invite.

The boys placed eighth in a field of 12 schools while the Beaver girls also placed sixth in a field of eight schools on Saturday.

Sauk Prairie’s girls spikers cruise past McFarland

Sauk Prairie’s girls volleyball team defeated McFarland, 25-21, 25-14, 21-25, 25-19, on Sept. 19. Greta Shadewald had 26 assists in the match and eclipsed 1,000 assists for her career. Shadewald added four aces. Mallory Hartwig had 17 kills and 11 digs, while Gracyn Meyer had seven kills and three blocks.

Eagles’ girls tennis team tops Portage

Sauk Prairie’s girls tennis team defeated Portage, 7-0, on Sept. 19. The Eagles also fell to Baraboo, 4-3, on Sept. 17. Here’s a recap of those matches: • Sauk Prairie 7, Portage 0 — Addison Acker notched a straight set win at No. 1 singles. The Eagles also received forfeits at No. 2, 3 and 4 singles.

Eagles’ swimmers fall in dual meet

Sauk Prairie’s girls swimming and diving team fell to Monroe/New Glarus, 118-52, on Sept. 17. The Eagles’ 400-yard freestyle relay team of Alyssa Himebauch, Natalie Klein, Ava Flanagan and Kaylee Oleson was first.
