Weston boys fall to Wisconsin Heights, look to post-season play

Weston had a nice crowd as the Silver Eagles boys basketball squad closed out the regular season on the home court last week against Wisconsin Heights. The result, however, wasn’t what the home fans hoped for as Heights pulled away for a 63-43 win.

Curtin, Hale-Toomey make podium for Reedsburg at WIAA State Wrestling Tourney

The 2025 WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament is in the books and it was a very strong weekend for the Reedsburg Beaver program. Reedsburg wrestlers won 10 matches total and Head Coach Rob Bautch expressed his positive feelings about the weekend.

Badger Lightning girls Hockey falls in Sun Prairie to end season

The strong late-season surge for the Badger Lightning girls hockey team showed the team playing its best hockey over the past month but the 2024-2025 season came to an end last week with a 5-1 setback against the conference rival Cap City Cougars in Sun Prairie in a WIAA Sectional semi-final matchup.

Eagles’ gymnasts make history

Historic. Momentous. Extraordinary. All of the above held true for what Sauk Prairie’s girls gymnastics team accomplished last Saturday. The Eagles finished in second place at the WIAA Division 2 Dodgeville Sectional, and earned a trip to the state tournament for the first time in program history.

The future’s so bright

It was a year of tremendous growth. And it could be the start of even better things. Wisconsin Heights’ girls basketball team dropped a 53-44 decision to Ozaukee in a WIAA Division 5 regional quarterfinal on Feb. 25. The Vanguards finished the year 10-13, giving them their most wins in a season since 2016-’17.

Heights boys aim to shine this postseason

Wisconsin Heights’ boys basketball team didn’t end the regular season the way it hoped. The Vanguards dropped two of three games last week — and eight of their final 10 — and finished the regular season 8-16 overall. But Heights is hoping for bigger and better things this postseason.
