Weston boys basketball beats Wauzeka in busy stretch

Weston notched a rare regular season series sweep in boys basketball action in recent years last Tuesday, winning for the second time this season over Wauzeka after a 64-48 victory on the road. Weston won a thriller in overtime in the first meeting but the Silver Eagles were more in control this time.

Sauk Prairie’s boys roll past River Valley and Portage

The WIAA postseason seeds will be revealed Sunday. And last week, Sauk Prairie’s boys basketball team took a step towards ensuring it gets a respectable landing spot in the playoffs. The Eagles rolled past host River Valley, 70-45, on Feb. 10. Sauk Prairie then went to Portage and cruised to a 67-26 win on Feb. 13.

Hockey Eagles set for playoffs

Sauk Prairie’s co-op hockey team finished the regular season with a 4-1 loss to Waunakee on Feb. 10. The Eagles finished the regular season 11-13 overall and 6-6 in the Badger in the Badger Conference. In Sauk Prairie’s loss to the Warriors, they fell behind, 4-0, and couldn’t recover.

RWD Miners hockey puts forth strong week with pair of lopsided wins

The conference season is now over for the RWD Miners boys hockey squad and despite entering the season with a very young and inexperienced team and despite having to deal with injuries for most of the season, the Miners finish with a .500 Badger Conference mark of 6-6 after a 4-1 win at Beaver Dam last Tuesday.
