Last Tuesday’s ice storm on February 22, 2022, came exactly 100 years after one of the worst ice storms in state history on February 22, 1922. The Sauk County Historical Society planned a presentation about it not knowing that Mother Nature had a reprise planned for the day.

The River Valley School District board has dealt with many complex and difficult issues over the past seven years. Sara Young, board representative from Area 6, has put her mind and heart into her role on the board.

I would like to strongly endorse Scott Whitsett for the Reedsburg School Board. Scott is a friend and neighbor that I have known for several years. He cares deeply about the learning environment for his five children as well as the many other children of our district.
My beloved 10-year-old granddaughter looks at my hands and pokes at the blue veins that criss-cross then like rivers. "I love your hands, Gramma," she says. I show her how loose the skin is on the backs of my hands and how I can pinch it up into little hills that only gradually relax back into place.
