Letters to the Editor

Dear editor, River Valley. River Valley School District. When I hear those words I think about my 10 years of enrollment, my sister graduating, my brother in sixth grade, but I also think of our absolutely wonderful music programs. From musicals, concerts, solo and ensemble, choir, band, chamber ensemble, and jazz band, we do it all.

Letter: Scott Whitsett will bring family values to Reedsburg School Board

We have been longtime residents of the Reedsburg community for the last 16 years. A great education has always been a high priority for our five children and Scott would like to make it a priority for all the students of the Reedsburg District.

STANEK COLUMN: Expressing gratitude for the conscientious

It’s easy to get complacent this time of year.

Just about all of us are eager for the snow to melt and the sun to shine, for the streets to clear up and alternate-side parking to end.

Nature and Society: Eagerly awaiting spring

Alas, amidst the many joys of March, the robins and bluebirds and crocuses, it is also the season in which we butcher the trees. I have never understood this wholesale attack on trees. Is it restless workmen with no snow to plow and no grass to mow?
