Clergy Corner: You can’t always trust your eyes

It is amazing that with only a few clicks on a computer, we can dramatically alter photos. Such capabilities have led us to be a bit more wary. We find ourselves saying, “Unless I see it with my own eyes, how can I believe that it hasn’t been touched up? I’ll believe it when I see it.”

Letter to the Editor

Dear editor, Recently you printed writing efforts by three talented River Valley Middle School students. I encourage teachers to submit more such work and for you to print it. What better way could there be to encourage young writers than for them to see their work in print? Thank you. Deniece Carver Spring Green

My message at the recent Reedsburg School District’s board meeting Monday evening, Dec. 20, was recorded and has been widely shared.

Nature and Society: What to do when you're crabby

Of course you're crabby. We are all crabby. We have endured almost two years of threat and uncertainty and dramatic lifestyle changes, none of which we invited. We have been at work and out of work; our kids have been in school and out of school, going out has been safe and unsafe and safe and now unsafe again.
