Reedsburg has tasted victory in three of five dual matches so far this spring on the tennis court and the most exciting of those three wins came last week in a tense, thrilling 4-3 decision at McFarland as part of the Beavers conference slate.
The Reedsburg Beaver Track and Field program got a chance to see where they stack up with some of their peers in the Badger Conference last Tuesday, competing in a conference quad in Mount Horeb with Oregon and Beaver Dam taking part as well.
The Reedsburg Beavers kept themselves in the hunt for a Badger Small Baseball title for this spring with a pair of victories over Sauk-Prairie last week. One game was tight and the other was a Beaver blowout.
It was rainy, windy and cold last Friday.
But no one on Sauk Prairie’s girls track and field team seemed to mind.
The Eagles finished first at the Baraboo Relays, winning the team title for a second straight year. Sauk Prairie’s boys were fourth.
The Wisconsin Heights track teams competed at the Poynette Quadrangular on April 23.

GIRLS
• Bryn Meyer won the 100-meter dash and Kennedi Neumaier was third.
• Meyer also won the 200-meter dash and the long jump.
• Anya Gresch was second in the 300-meter hurdles.
Wisconsin Heights’ baseball team dropped all three of its games last week and fell to 1-10 on the season.
“We continue to improve as a team as we are battling through some injuries,” Heights manager Ted Severson said. “We hope to have some key players back to health soon and make a strong second half run.”

The Wisconsin Heights boys golf team competed in a pair of Capitol Conference mini-meets last week.
Heights finished eighth out of eight teams in a meet held at Lodi Golf Club on April 22. Cambridge won that meet with a 157, while the Vanguards shot a 198.
Wisconsin Heights’ girls softball team won its second game of the season last week, defeating Cambridge, 8-7, on April 25. The Vanguards also dropped a doubleheader to top-ranked Marshall on April 23 and lost to Dodgeville, 11-5, on April 22.
Sauk Prairie’s boys tennis team dropped three matches at the Waunakee Invite last Saturday.
Beaver Dam, DeForest and Madison East all defeated the Eagles, 6-1.
Sauk Prairie’s No. 1 doubles team of Ayden Wildman and Sebastian Gavol won all three of their matches on the day.
Sauk Prairie’s baseball team dropped three games last week and fell to 3-9 on the season and 0-6 in the Badger Small Conference.
