Beavers win at Viroqua on tennis court

It was almost winter-type conditions last Wednesday but it was better than the day before so the Beaver boys tennis team made up a home dual with Madison Edgewood one day later than scheduled with Edgewood coming away with a 5-2 win as the Beavers fell to 1-2 overall in dual match play and a mark of 1-1 in Badger Small.

Beaver Softball lands in slump after quick start

After a terrific start, the Beaver softball team has hit a rough patch in recent days. The Beavers started the season at 4-0 with wins over Royall, Edgewood, Sauk-Prairie and Stoughton, outscoring the opposition 56-7. The Beavers, however, enter this week with a five-game losing skid and have been outscored 47-24 in that stretch.

Beaver Soccer will be busy after quiet week

It was already going to be a quiet stretch for the Reedsburg Beaver girls soccer team with only one match scheduled this past week and when bad weather postponed that match, it meant a week of no matches and some added practice time for the Beavers. Tuesday’s match at Sauk-Prairie was moved to April 29.

It was an early morning tee time for the golfers and teams in Badger Small for the second conference mini-meet of the season last Tuesday at Sauk-Prairie’s home course, Lake Wisconsin.

Heights softball earns first win

When the girls’ softball season began a month ago, Wisconsin Heights coach Scott Wood said his No. 1 goal was to see improvement from his incredibly young Vanguards. Well, Heights is certainly succeeding in that area.

Sauk Prairie golfers keep on rolling

The beat goes on. Sauk Prairie’s terrific boys golf team continued the sizzling start to their season last week. The Eagles won the Badger Small Conference Mini-Meet at Lake Wisconsin Country Club on April 16. Sauk Prairie then finished fourth at the 24-team Reedsburg Invite last Friday. Finding their footing

Twelve months ago, Sauk Prairie’s baseball team began the year 0-8, then engineered a memorable turnaround. Sauk Prairie battled back to finish the year 13-13 and reached the sectional semifinals. Maybe the 2024 Eagles are on a similar path.

Eagles’ track teams shine at own invite

Sauk Prairie’s track teams hosted a relay invite last Friday and got several solid performances. The Eagles’ girls were fifth at the eight-team invite, while the boys were seventh out of eight teams.

Wisconsin Heights’ baseball team dropped all three of its games last week. The Vanguards fell to 1-7 overall and are 0-3 in the Capitol South Conference.

Boys lacrosse team drops three

Sauk Prairie’s boys lacrosse team dropped three games last week. The Eagles fell to Neenah, 12-0, on April 15. DeForest toppled Sauk Prairie, 6-1, on April 18. And Marquette bested the Eagles, 11-4, last Saturday. Here’s a recap of the Eagles’ games.
