Vanguards shine

The Wisconsin Heights/Barneveld girls soccer team landed three players on the all-Capitol Conference team. Senior forward Mikayla Teela (top) was named first-team all-conference. Sophomore defender Izabel Durst was named second-team all-league. And senior keeper Emma Mickelson (above) was named honorable-mention all-conference.

Reedsburg sneaks past Sauk Prairie

Reedsburg’s Home Talent League team edged Sauk Prairie, 3-2, on June 16. Right fielder Spencer Alisch led Sauk Prairie’s offense, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs.  Jake Wegner earned the win for Reedsburg, allowing one hit and no runs in three innings. Wegner also struck out two and walked two.

Weston baseball salutes award winners for 2024 season

It was a season with more wins than losses on the baseball diamond for the Weston Silver Eagles and the strong 2024 season and the players involved were recognized at the team’s awards banquet.

Reedsburg's Kylee Molitor earns All-State First-Team honors in softball once again


For the second straight season, Reedsburg’s Kylee Molitor has been tabbed as an All-State first-team softball player for Divisions 2 and 3 by the WFSCA after earning second-team honors as a freshman. Molitor, who just completed her junior season had a batting average of over .600 this season with seven HR’s during a campaign that also saw her selected as the Badger Small Player of the Year. The statistics and the eyeball test would indicate that Reedsburg’s Kylee Molitor is one of the top talents in all of Wisconsin prep softball.

Brenner, Hahn, Brown will join 2024 class for Reedsburg Athletic Club Hall of Fame

The Reedsburg Athletic Club Hall of Fame will grow this fall as three new members have been elected and will officially be inducted into the Hall on Oct. 4 at halftime in a ceremony at the Reedsburg-Baraboo football game at Millennium Field. They are Tommie Brenner, Dalton Hahn and Dylan Brown.

Caz Reds blank Plain for 1st Sunday League win in Home Talent Baseball

The Cazenovia Reds took the field three times this past week in Home Talent Baseball.

The Eagles have landed

Sauk Prairie’s girls soccer team had a terrific season, winning the Badger Small Con-ference with a 6-0-1 mark. And the Eagles were justly rewarded, landing seven players on the all-Badger Small Conference team.
