Reedsburg will be represented at next week’s WIAA D-1 Sectional Boys Golf Meet at Blackhawk in Madison as sophomore Brecken Johnson qualified individually from the Holmen Regional last Wednesday.

Reedsburg is still missing some key players from their Home Talent Baseball lineup until the completion of the college and high school season but the Pirates are still 2-0 in the Night League after a tight 4-1 win at Arena last Thursday night.

The best season in recent memory for a Reedsburg Beaver Boys Track and Field team will continue this week with three entries at the WIAA State Meet in La Crosse after a strong effort at the WIAA D-1 Sectional at Sauk-Prairie High School this past Thursday.

Things were looking up entering post-season play for the Reedsburg Beaver Softball team last week. The team had played two strong games the week previous to close out the regular season and faced a familiar foe in Wisconsin Dells although the Lady Chiefs did defeat the Beavers at Nishan Park during the regular season.

Reedsburg enjoyed its highest conference finish in several years on the softball diamond this spring and the Beavers were recognized with three Badger Small All-Conference first-team selections, another on the second team with two more players earning All-Conference honorable mention as announced last week.

After winning a conference title last season in Badger West, the Beaver Baseball team followed that up with a title in the first year of the Badger Small Conference this spring and the Beavers were rewarded with four All-Conference first team selections as announced last week.

Reedsburg closes out the regular season on a positive not in girls soccer action with a lopsided conference win at Portage and a low-scoring tie in non-conference play at Lodi with the post-season rolling out this week.

The Reedsburg Beaver Baseball team enters the post-season on a high note after a solid effort at DeForest last week, winning 9-2 in a non-conference game that wraps up the regular season with Reedsburg sitting at 19-2 for the season and with a number six ranking in the final D-2 regular season poll on Wissports.net.

Ithaca/Weston will once again be well represented at this week’s WIAA State Track and Field Meet in La Crosse after three girls entries and one on the boys side qualified from a strong D-3 Sectional field at Bangor last Thursday.

For the first time in eight years, members of the Reedsburg Beaver Boys Tennis team will participate this week in the WIAA State Individual Tennis Tournament at UW-Madison.
