Two Eagles’ golfers named all-conference

Sauk Prairie’s boys golfers had a sensational season, finishing second in the Badger Small Conference and advancing to a WIAA Division 1 sectional. Garret Mittelstaedt was named first-team all-conference and sophomore Graysen Dunn earned second-team honors.

Five Vanguards earn spots on all-conference team

Wisconsin Heights’ girls softball team had five players earn all-Capitol South Confer-ence honors. Sophomore Vanessa Wagner was named first-team all-conference and also was named the Vanguards’ Defensive Player of the Year. Sophomore Haley Wipperfurth was named second-team all-league and was also named the Vanguards’ Offensive Player of the Year.

Bombers edged by Middleton

Drew Farrell has become the most senior member of Middleton’s Home Talent League team. And much like a vintage Cabernet Sauvignon, Farrell seemingly improves with age. Farrell threw a complete-game, four-hitter and led Middleton to a 3-1 win over host Black Earth in a game held last Friday.
