River Valley/ Barneveld gymnasts host conference meet

The River Valley/ Barneveld (RVB) gymnastics co-op hosted the SWC conference meet this past Thursday night. Dodgeville coop took first place with 131.375 points followed by the Southwestern co-op with 129.700.

River Valley wrestling teams travel to sectional meet

The River Valley High School varsity wrestling teams traveled to the WIAA division two sectional C at Wisconsin Dells this past weekend. The top finishing wrestlers from the regional matches met to decide who will compete at the state meet.

The River Valley High School varsity girls basketball team played three games this past week. Monday night the girls started their competition for the week playing Sauk Prairie at home.

RV boys basketball team holds second place in conference

River Valley’s Cole Nabbefeld, Owen Bailey, and Hughson Thatcher work the defense during last week’s SWC game against Dodgeville. River Valley won the game 71-35, keeping them at second place in the conference. This week the boys started off in Mauston on Monday. Thursday they will host Prairie du Chien after the winter pep rally.

RWD downs Baraboo, looks to post-season play

It’s onto the post-season for the Reedsburg/Wisconsin Dells/Mauston boys high school hockey co-op. RWD wrapped up the regular season schedule with a busy three-game week which included the final two league games in the first ever season of Badger Small.

RAHS students enjoyed club bowling program this year


RAHS formalized a club bowling team this year that competed against other schools in the area and that team is pictured here. (Photo from Jesse Monte)

Some students at RAHS who were bowling enthusiasts got to experience something different over the past few months.

A high school club team for bowling was formed and close to 30 boys and girls took part in the season which came to a close this past week.

Badger Lightning hosts playoff game for 1st time in 12 years

There has been plenty of excitement in the second half of the season for the Badger Lightning girls hockey team and that trend continued last Tuesday as the Lightning closed out the Badger Conference season with a thrilling 6-5 overtime win over Viroqua.
